So Close Yet So Far

Thesis Defense in 17 days! Barring any unforeseen challenges, I should have a rough (rough) draft of my film complete. I've been futzing and tinkering around for weeks, but now I know all about alpha channels & compositing. And, I've made friends with Photoshop's animation function.

I ♥ Photoshop

In Bed is still underway! 4 months until deadline. . .

My production workflow looks a little something like this:
Live-Action video shoot ------> Editing with Premiere ------> Hand-drawn rotoscope ------> Hand-painted textures ------> Digital painting & compositing using Photoshop ------> Animation timing with After Effects ------> FINISH!!!!!
Here's an excerpt from my animatic. It features music by my amazing composer, DJ Brady.

Now, onto coloring, compositing, & cleanup!!!!

Shift

Amanda, Dave, and I finished our experimental project!

Tagline:
A house breaks apart and rebuilds itself within shifting planes.

Shift is an experimental film that combines traditional and digital media, such as stop-motion, hand-drawn, and 3D animation. Amazing music by DJ Brady! Check it out:
